"Try and Fail" is the new single from Adam Douglas, set to be released on April 5th. It's a genuine feel-good song with a positive message and playful production. Adam encourages and motivates the listener, as well as himself, to allow for trying and failing. It's okay not to always do everything perfectly; the important thing is that we trust our own decisions and know that we are all good enough just as we are! Adam shares:

- Writing songs and performing for the public can be challenging. When you release a song or convey music on stage, you are always "under the microscope." As a creative person, I often wonder if what I write and convey on stage will be well-received. Is it good enough? Will people like it? Do they understand it? What I repeatedly experience is that the very best thing is to trust myself. Trust my gut feeling. "Try And Fail" is a kind of reminder—that I am good enough just as I am—and I don't need to try to be someone else or something else. It's also completely okay and a very good thing that one might be a bit different. If you are honest with yourself and honest with your audience, that should be more than good enough!

Douglas made his solo debut in 2015 with the album "I May Never Learn." However, it wasn't until he participated in and won "Stjernekamp" on NRK in 2017 that he truly endeared himself to the Norwegian people. The following year, he released the critically acclaimed album "The Beauty & The Brawn" and has been touring extensively since. In March 2021, he released the studio album "Better Angels," and last fall, he released his fourth album, "Dancing for the Moon"—a diverse record that garnered a lot of positive attention, showcasing Douglas's unique ability as an artist to write and convey in a heartfelt and accurate way.

The production on the new single is playful and with a twinkle in the eye. The backing track was recorded live, featuring skilled musicians Douglas is accustomed to working with both live and in the studio. In addition to his own guitar and vocal tracks, Douglas is joined by Ruben Dalen (drums), Ruben Fredheim Oma (bass), Thor Erik Fjellvang (keys), and Aurora Amalie Heimdal (choir). Drummer Ruben Dalen also served as the recording engineer and co-producer, and he was responsible for the mixing. Espen Høydalsvik at Oslo Fuzz handled the mastering.

The song was written last fall and quickly fell into place. Adam states that the moral of the story is to dare to be oneself and not be afraid to be different:

- I feel that there are many out there who are a bit afraid to stand out or be themselves at all. I experience a kind of freedom by accepting who I am and actually celebrating it! I hope more will join in celebrating it with this song!
