After 20 years, Terje Male leaves Møller Mobility Group and his current position as CEO.

The board wishes to thank Terje Male for his efforts and the results achieved under his leadership. In a time of demanding changes for the entire automotive industry, Male has been vital in developing and implementing the group's new strategy, adapted to the rapid pace of change and introduction of new technology. Under Male's management, Møller Mobility Group has consolidated its position as one of Northern Europe's leading players in the automotive industry. At the same time, the group has taken important steps to build the position as a leading supplier of future mobility services. In 2018, Møller Mobility Group achieved one of its best results ever, despite major changes in a car industry characterized by uncertainty.

- We are in the midst of a transport revolution and exciting times, where technologies, solutions and our customers’ expectations are rapidly changing. This represents both challenges and great opportunities. Møller Mobility Group has an ambitious strategy for change and development. This strategy stands firm. With Terje Male at the helm, we have achieved great and important goals. Now we are at a point where the board and the CEO have different opinions on what to emphasize in the further realisation of the strategy. Therefore, we have come to an agreement with Terje Male that the time has come for a change of leadership, says Øyvind Schage Førde, chair of the board of Møller Mobility Group.

Terje Male has worked in Møller Mobility Group for 20 years, and has been CEO since January 2017. Prior to this, he was head of the car import company Harald A. Møller AS. In addition, Male has held several leading positions in the group's importer and dealer business, both in Norway and the Baltics. Male has delivered strong results in all these positions.

Øyvind Schage Førde will take the position as executive chair until further notice. The process of recruiting a new CEO is underway and is expected to be concluded within short time.

Wolfsburg, December 11, 2015 – From January to November, the Volkswagen Group handed over 9.10 million vehicles to customers, including 833,700 units in November. “The Volkswagen Group and its brands are currently experiencing challenging times,” said Matthias Müller, Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft, in Wolfsburg on Friday. “We are shouldering what is a very considerable challenge for the Group. At the same time, we are pleased that our customers are remaining loyal to us, especially in this situation, and continue to place their trust in us. This trust is our most important asset,” Müller continued. Precisely for this reason, the company would remain true to its objective of making the best and most innovative vehicles in the future.

Wolfsburg, December 10, 2015 – The Volkswagen Group’s realignment is well underway. The Group is making progress on all five of the priorities it set at the end of October: The technical solutions for customers in Europe have been devised, presented to the authorities, and positively evaluated by them. These solutions will begin to be implemented in January 2016. The emissions investigation is producing results, and initial consequences have already been drawn based on the findings to date. The implementation of the new structure is proceeding according to plan, and the process of developing a new strategy has commenced.
