Telrad Networks Announces Successful Trial of New MU-MIMO Technology
Telrad Networks, a global provider of innovative LTE telecom solutions, today announced the launch of their MU-MIMO (Multi-user, multiple-input, multiple-output) technology, enabling operators to increase capacity in a network by up to 70%, and thereby increasing subscriber connectivity rates. The new feature has been tested in a successful trial by long-term customer Seaside Wireless Communications, a Canadian Wireless Internet Service Provider located in Nova Scotia.
“We consistently strive to improve our community’s connectivity,” said Jeff Pastuck, Wireless Network Manager of Seaside Wireless Communications. “Seaside has been a satisfied customer of Telrad Networks for a few years. This new feature is an example of their exceptional quality of product design. We have been able to double our spectral efficiency during this trial, which will mean we can add subscribers to our network within the current spectrum we already utilize. This is key to our business case.”
The new feature falls into an overall strategy by the Company to increase capacity and coverage for customers. The MU-MIMO technology announcement follows two feature announcements earlier in the year for the Dual Sector/Carrier feature and Carrier Aggregation solution, both of which are now generally available.
MU-MIMO will help improve network reliability and provide higher spectral efficiency for operators around the world. The technology allows for more users to use the same spectrum without self-interference and without degrading the overall network performance. The value of increased sector capacity without the addition of new spectrum or additional hardware greatly reduces operational costs to operators and creates faster return on investment (ROI).
This latest BreezeCOMPACT software defined feature includes:
- MU-MIMO – Maximizes spectral efficiency through spatial multiplexing of users within a sector
- Frequency Selective Scheduling – Smart scheduling based on CPE specific sub channel conditions to maximize spectral efficiency
- Multi-Layer Beamforming – For improved coverage throughout the network
Improving Performance, Increasing Capacity, and Lowering Costs for Service Providers
Chris Daniels, President of the Telrad Wireless Division, stated, “We understand the challenge faced by fixed wireless operators to provide a solid customer experience while maximizing subscriber density in their networks. Real estate can be expensive, and spectrum is a finite resource. MU-MIMO essentially doubles the spectral efficiency of our LTE solution, allowing service providers to deploy more subscribers with fewer eNBs. By increasing subscriber density without the addition of hardware or spectrum, our customers are able to maximize their investment while enjoying a stronger business case than is possible with competing solutions.”
Telrad is exhibiting at the WISPAPALOOZA Conference, at Booth #335, in Las Vegas, October 9-12, 2018. Visitors can learn more about the company’s suite of high-performance products and services for today’s wireless broadband market.

The “Centre Hospitalier de la Côte Basque” in France Has Started the Evaluation of the Biolog-id’s C-LOG® Solution20.6.2019 15:35:00 CEST | Pressemelding
The Centre Hospitalier de la Côte Basque (CHCB) in Bayonne has been using Biolog-id's C-LOG® solution since early April 2019. This solution secures and optimizes the circuit of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, from their preparation all the way to the administration to the patient. The C-LOG® solution has been used at the CHCB. "During the last HAS audit, a lack of traceability was revealed in the chemotherapy circuit. In order to close this gap, we decided to install the C-LOG® solution which, in addition to securing the administration to the patient's bed, makes it possible to trace the preparation circuit from the pharmacy to the reception in the nurses station," says Dr. Burtin, Pharmacist at CHCB. The solution will be tested for evaluation for 3 months before final adoption. "The RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology is the foundation of our solution. The tag affixed on each preparation contains the product and patient data. This information is updated in real-time and c
CSC Announces Cyber Security Findings for the Media Industry20.6.2019 15:00:00 CEST | Pressemelding
Securing a company’s digital infrastructure has become a major concern to corporations worldwide. With leading security companies and other organizations alerting corporations and the public to recent widespread, state-sponsored domain name system (DNS) hijacking, more and more brands are starting to take action. CSC has been issuing Cyber Security Reports since 2017, culling the most important information about security risks, and in particular, risks to brands that are not mitigated by a traditional firewall. The recent research conducted by CSC focuses on the media industry, revealing that 78% of global media brands use a corporate domain registrar, yet only 37% of those have a registrar lock to protect their DNS from hijacking. Recent domain hijacking, unauthorized changes, and deletion of vital domains have shown that effectively managing domain names and DNS must become a critical component for enhancing the security posture of any company with an online presence.
