ReSound® Returns to International Consumer Electronics Show to Feature Expanded Portfolio of Smart Hearing Aids
ReSound is pleased to announce today that it has returned to IFA, the world’s largest international consumer electronics show, in Berlin, Germany, to showcase the company’s expanding portfolio of award-winning, innovative Smart Hearing technologies.
This year’s activities from ReSound include interactive demonstrations of the world’s first full family of Made for iPhone hearing aids, the ReSound LiNX2™. In addition to addressing hearing loss, ReSound’s portfolio of Smart Hearing solutions allow wearers to stream sounds directly from their iPhone®, iPad®, or iPod touch® to their hearing aids, and directly from their television using the ReSound Unite™ TV Streamer 2. The ReSound Smart™ app offers revolutionary personalization of the hearing aids, empowering people to take control of their hearing experience.
Even before the show opened to the public, ReSound’s Smart Hearing technology made a splash at IFA’s widely attended press events. On Sept. 3, ReSound participated in ShowStoppers, IFA’s premiere press event, where it received a strong reception from key technology and lifestyle reporters from publications across the globe who were excited to learn about the latest in Smart Hearing solutions. During the press event, ReSound was awarded two ShowStoppers Envisioneering Awards for Innovation and Design, highlighting the company’s ongoing commitment to developing the world’s most innovative hearing technologies and making these solutions accessible to as many people as possible. These awards recognized the cutting-edge technology and user-friendly design of the ReSound LiNX2 and ReSound Up Smart™. The company was also recognized as an honoree for its ReSound Smart app.
“We are very pleased to return to IFA this year to feature ReSound’s Smart Hearing solutions. Since last year, we’ve seen the launch of the ReSound LiNX2, followed by the ReSound Smart app extension for Apple Watch, the expansion of our compatibility portfolio to include even more Android smartphone models, and the release of products that can provide relief for people living with tinnitus,” said GN ReSound CEO Anders Hedegaard. “It is an exciting time for our industry and the more than three hundred million people worldwide living with hearing loss. ReSound is proud to lead the way in Smart Hearing innovation and excited to bring consumers the best possible solutions to meet their individual hearing needs.”
Launched in March 2015, ReSound LiNX2 is the latest device to leverage ReSound’s proprietary 2.4 GHz wireless platform. ReSound LiNX2 allows wearers to personalize their hearing like never before by delivering the power of direct control over hearing aid settings through the ReSound Smart app. ReSound’s industry-leading technologies put customization at the wearer’s fingertips, allowing people to make adjustments in real-time based on personal preference and listening environment, including:
- Changes to preferred volume, treble, and bass levels
- Personalized sound enhancements for speech, background noise, and wind
- Saving preferred settings under ‘Favorites’ for frequently visited places, such as home, work, restaurants, and more
- Employing the ‘Find My Hearing Aids’ function to pinpoint hearing aids if misplaced
