Mellanox and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory Announce Joint Collaboration to Design Exascale System
Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ:MLNX), a leading supplier of high-performance, end-to-end interconnect solutions for data center servers and storage systems today announced a joint technology collaboration with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) to architect, design and explore technologies for future Exascale platforms. The agreement will explore the advanced capabilities of Mellanox interconnect technology while focusing on a new generation of in-network computing architecture and the laboratory application requirements. This collaboration will also enable the DOE lab, through its Center for Advanced Technology Evaluation (known as CENATE), and Mellanox to effectively explore new software and hardware synergies that can drive high performance computing to the next level.
“Mellanox has a long and successful history of developing industry-leading technology that enables the world fastest supercomputers,” said Gilad Shainer, vice president of marketing at Mellanox. “Our collaboration with PNNL will result in enabling an Exascale-grade system and provide the most efficient platform to enhance research and future product development.”
Today, scalable compute and storage systems suffer from data bottlenecks that limit research, product development and constrain application services. The Mellanox PNNL collaboration includes guiding the development of an InfiniBand-based Exascale system to support the DOE’s research needs as well as initiatives to develop, advance and establish critical new technologies that promote standards enabling and supporting the thousand-fold increase in performance required to introduce an Exaflop-capable system.

Koza Altin Welcomes Court’s Rejection of Akin Ipek’s Share Purchase Agreement13.7.2018 15:58 | Pressemelding
A Turkish Court has found against businessman Akin Ipek this week – ruling that a share purchase agreement, which he had submitted as vital evidence in support of his case against the Turkish state, is null and void. The matter was brought to the Ankara Commercial Court in March 2017 by Koza Holding (parent company of Koza Altin) which, according to Mr Ipek’s share purchase agreement, purportedly transferred all of its shares to Ipek Investment Limited. Koza Holding filed the lawsuit for legal recognition that the share purchase agreement is void. The ruling in Turkey follows on from an earlier judgment set down by the English High Court, which rejected Mr Ipek’s attempt to use up to £3m of UK subsidiary Koza Ltd’s money to fund a claim against the Turkish State at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). In the English ruling, Deputy Judge Richard Spearman QC declared the “authenticity” of the share purchase agreement as “open to very serious doubt”. The
