Samarbeidet mellom produsenten av verdens mestselgende elbil og det ledende arkitektfirmaet, konkluderte med at bensinstasjonen faktisk kan være selve bilen.

Som vist i denne to minutters videoen med Nissan LEAF og den futuristiske IDS-konseptbilen, utforsker Nissan hvordan vår levemåte kan endres i takt med den teknologiske utviklingen.

Samarbeidet, som har pågått i 12 måneder, gir et bilde av Nissans visjon for fremtidens mobilitet; en verden der biler samhandler med miljøet og befolkningen tilpasser seg nullutslipp- og Piloted Drive-teknologier.

Designstudien ble forhåndsvist under årets 86. internasjonale bilutstilling i Genève.

Ved å integrere en rekke spennende Nissan-teknologier, viser visjonen hvordan V2G-teknologien (kjøretøy-til-strømnett), batterilagring, trådløs lading, autonom teknologi, og trådløs tilkobling, kan kombinere for å revolusjonere hvordan energi brukes og distribueres i Europas største byer.

Behovet for et bærekraftig og innovativt ladenettverk er viktig ettersom markedet går over til alternative kilder som elektrisk energi.

I dag bor over halvparten (54 %) av verdens befolkning i byer og innen 2050 vil syv av ti mennesker bo i urbane strøk[i]. Derfor er det viktig at infrastrukturen eksisterer for å støtte denne veksten.

Nissan tester for tiden ut et innovativt V2G-system i Europa som kombinert med allsidig gjenbruk av brukte batterier, lar førerne betjene sine individuelle «energisentre» med muligheten til å bruke, lagre for senere bruk, eller returnere elektrisitet til strømnettet.

Det antas at innen 2050 kan nesten all globale energibehov oppfylles med fornybare energikilder[ii].

Nissan er ledende innen nullutslippsteknologi, og var banebrytende på det kommersielle elbilmarkedet i 2010. Nissan LEAF var den første helelektriske bilen for massemarkedet som ble lansert globalt, og er den mestselgende elbilen i historien.
