Decline in air traffic
There was a slight decrease in the number of passengers at Avinor's airports in May compared to the same month in 2018.
A total of just over 4.6 million passengers traveled to, from or via Avinor's airports in May. This is a decrease of 2.3 per cent compared to the same month last year. Domestic traffic decreased by 2.8 per cent and international traffic decreased by 2 per cent.
Avinor Oslo Airport experienced a decline of 2.6 per cent and Avinor Bergen Airport an increase of 3.2 per cent.
The figures are largely influenced by the strike among the SAS pilots that lasted three days into May.

Avinor is continuing its efforts to reduce costs after posting a loss of NOK 46 million in the first quarter. Operating income in the first quarter amounted to NOK 2,587 million, compared with NOK 2,509 for the corresponding period in 2018.
