B.Yond Names Global Industry Executive Rui Frazao as EVP European Operations

Del

B.Yond today announced the appointment of Rui Frazao as the company’s Executive Vice President European Operations, effective immediately. Frazao will focus on business development, customer engagement and expansion of the company’s presence in Europe.

Frazao has a track record of technology transformation in strategic leadership roles. He joins B.Yond from Vasona Networks, a leader in network performance and edge computing software for mobile operators (recently acquired by ZephyrTel). He most recently served as CTO, leading the company’s technical innovation in mobile broadband optimization. Frazao worked with customers worldwide on advancing mobile-edge software solutions and solidifying Vasona’s position as a market leader.

“We’re witnessing the 5G revolution, which requires operators to transform from networks to cloud platforms to succeed. Rui brings a unique perspective, having worked in the customer capacity at Vodafone, as well as a technology supplier to operators. His executive experience includes working with the world’s largest telecom operators, witnessing firsthand how the cloud can open up opportunities to compete on innovation, just like web scale companies do,” said Ned Taleb, CEO of B.Yond. “He brings a worldwide market perspective and will be an outstanding addition to our leadership team. Rui will help us disrupt the traditional telco-vendor relationship with a new model based on partnering for the journey to enable innovation via a cloud-native platform and applied AI.”

Prior to Vasona, Frazao spent 15 years with Vodafone in various technology positions, including serving as the director of network engineering for efforts across Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary and the Czech Republic. His work with Vodafone included implementing the industry’s earliest VoLTE deployments and launching the first virtualized network core platforms in Europe. Before that, he held roles with Cisco Systems, Portuguese financial payment network SIBS and the Lisbon Stock Exchange.

“I am thrilled to be joining B.Yond at this exciting time where the company is addressing the needs of telecom operators on their cloudification journey,” said Frazao. “The company’s technology, strong management team and the market’s potential to leverage machine learning and automation for network and cloud present exciting opportunities.”

This solution secures and optimizes the circuit of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, from their preparation all the way to the administration to the patient. The C-LOG® solution has been used at the CHCB. "During the last HAS audit, a lack of traceability was revealed in the chemotherapy circuit. In order to close this gap, we decided to install the C-LOG® solution which, in addition to securing the administration to the patient's bed, makes it possible to trace the preparation circuit from the pharmacy to the reception in the nurses station," says Dr. Burtin, Pharmacist at CHCB. Securing a company’s digital infrastructure has become a major concern to corporations worldwide. With leading security companies and other organizations alerting corporations and the public to recent widespread, state-sponsored domain name system (DNS) hijacking, more and more brands are starting to take action. CSC has been issuing Cyber Security Reports since 2017, culling the most important information about security risks, and in particular, risks to brands that are not mitigated by a traditional firewall. The recent research conducted by CSC focuses on the media industry, revealing that 78% of global media brands use a corporate domain registrar, yet only 37% of those have a registrar lock to protect their DNS from hijacking. Recent domain hijacking, unauthorized changes, and deletion of vital domains have shown that effectively managing domain names and DNS must become a critical component for enhancing the security posture of any company with an online presence.
